Elle's First Christmas

We prayed for a child, we prayed as were led,
God gave us her name long before she’d been made,
Now it is Christmas, the birth of our Lord,
Our debt to God’s Son, cannot be repaid.

She smiles as she stares, eyes so alert,
Feeding, sleeping in two hours spurts,
We love her so much it actually hurts,
Our thanks to God I continually blurt.

Oh, Father in Heaven, hear my prayer,
Make me a good father to Elle,
You’ve given us a daughter in this world of despair,
Help me to know how to raise her as well.

Her expressions are priceless, oh so sweet,
She’s beautiful, like Pamela, and very petite,
Rubbing her nose, my personal treat,
Eskimo kisses, as we keep her dry and so neat..

I love you, my Father, please keep me near,
I was lost from you for so many years,
When I look at our daughter, my eyes fill with tears,
My trust in you to overcome my fears.

Merry Christmas, Elizabeth, you’re just two weeks old,
You mean so much to so many it’s true,
You’re birthday and name have much to be told,
Can I feel anything but love for you?

HEY! Unto Us a Child is Born!

At 11:10am (EST), our lives were forever graced with the arrival of our Elizabeth Lee (Elle, or Ellie [maybe even Ellee, if that's not too 'outthere']).

Elle weighed 7 pounds, 2.4 ounces and was a striking 21 inches long.

She has been described as "the most perfect looking baby I've ever seen" by an observer.

Mom and baby are doing well, and are currently resting after a very long and busy day.

GOD is good, and faithful.

Ultra Sound

At only 5 & 1/2 weeks we had a heartbeat.
Elle was a little "peanut".
At 20 weeks we had this great picture:
Now, only 8 days to go!
